A nurse was killed on October 18th in North Carolina, and a nurse & social worker were killed in Texas on October 22nd. The sad reality is that this is not an anomaly. Violence against nurses and all healthcare workers is increasing. We have seen some progress in addressing workplace violence in healthcare. Illinois has a law, and at the federal level, two pieces of legislation are being considered. But is it enough? Join us for a presentation of current laws, new efforts, and a discussion on what we need to do to solve this issue.
